hello and welcome to this edition of my blog... No, I don't have much to say today, either, but let's see what's on the list...

I get to see Deedee in a few hours :) can't wait... seeing deedee is good :) better than good :)

I get to upgrade my computer this weekend.. it's gonna be nice. I'll say more about that when I get it done.

I went to a meeting yesterday with all the construction supervisors and I took a few notes... not about what was being said, but more about the people there... There were only a few type of people, and you can tell which type they are by the clothes they wore... here are my observations:

--pale yellow button downs.. there were 3 of these... these are brave people.. anyone who wares yellow is brave... These people are executives and they're well paid... To build a house they need only a cell phone and a nice pen to sign paychecks...

--white polo shirts... 5 of these.. These are the young, clean cut supervisors just out of college out to make a name for themselves by impressing people... To build a house they need a budget, schedule, and a good pair of shoes...

--plaid buttondowns... 3 of these... These guys are old and established.. They might have built houses for the army core of engineers at one time or another... To build a house they need blueprints, a ruler, tape measure, and a skill saw...

--t shirt with jeans or jean shorts... 8 of these... These guys are older and slightly overweight. They've been building houses for a while, and they know their stuff... They aspire to wear a tank top one day (see below) To build a house they need a pencil, a pad of paper, and a really good secretary to cover their rear end when they forget something.

--tank top, shorts, sunglasses, and a muddy baseball cap... there was only 1 of these at the meeting. This guy's in his early to mid 40's; he's tall, all muscle, and very tan. This guy builds houses in his sleep. He wasn't born with a hammer in his hand, but he did build a small shelter in his mother's womb because he was tired of being wet. All this guy needs to build a house is a can of tobacco, a couple of trees, and a box of nails... nails are optional...
