Quote of the day:

I don't understand why love is considered mushy. Love is intangible. It can't be mushy. Well, unless it involves a romp in the oatmeal and we all know what that's like...

Thank you, Scott...

yeah yeah... I know... everyone wants some of the famous Hammons' family fudge... went to the movies today and actually traded about two sq inches of fudge for movie tickets to see harry potter again :) fudge = legal tender.

and I'm brewing a secret of my own... can't say much about it here, but it's a long term project... and it's cool :)

So I just got back from the meteor shower of the century... it's was very cool... if you didn't see it, you missed quite a show... if you didn't see it where I did, you missed even more of a show...

Richard and I decided to drive up on the mountain to get a better view, and apparently, we weren't the only ones... matter of fact, EVERYONE decided to drive up on the mountain to watch. We got there two hours before the peak and still had trouble finding a parking place and a place to sit down. We finally decided to stay on top of one hill near a parking area. Us and about 300 other people. it was interesting, to say the least... guitars, and several sets of bongo's provided quite a setting to watch the meteor shower, and let me just say that there was far more alcohol and marijuana than should ever be allowed on the side of a mountain. We found a nice comfortable piece of rock to hurt our backs on and began watching. All I can say is that around the peak time, there were so many in the sky that your eyes couldn't keep up with them all. Made me wonder if anyone there really knew what they were watching, or do we as a society just take stuff like this for granted these days? Are we so used to technology and such that a natural wonder such as this that would have surely signaled the second coming of Christ a few hundred years ago is now commonplace and boring?

Well, one thing about the alcohol and drugs, it makes people exceptionally stupid. Someone or probably some people climbed all over richard's car while we were on the hill. they crushed the roof in, and dented the hood and trunk. It creased it and did serious damage to it.. I really would have hated to seen what would have happened to those people if they had been up there when richard got back... instead, the cowards just left an empty case for corona beer near the car.

Later...

So I increased my goth standing a bit tonight.. Went and saw Vampire Hunter D bloodlust at an independent theatre in Denver tonight. I highly recommend this movie to any anime fans, and even those who are not anime fans... Just go see it... I think it was better than the original...

bought stuff today... I owe lots of money now... I think I managed to do all of my Christmas shopping in one day with the exception of one person... I have things being shipped to me from all over the WORLD! :) I am cool... I Rule.

Well, my role playing group almost met last night... we were short one person... he'll be over tonight to do character generation... here's an update on how my group is going to look... I think it's interesting, and oddly enough, I can see it being quite efficient in my world:
ranger/rogue, rogue, rogue/cleric, cleric/fighter, bard... yeah, I know, the bard is an oddball... here's the races: mostly human, half-elf, human, dwarf, human..
and now I have to tie all these stories together... fun fun fun....

so it was holloween last night... little kids dressed up in costume and went trick or treating... I sat at home bored and gave out candy to the few people that came by... manda sacrified cats... it's all good.... just so you know, the world does not end on a blue moon on holloween when the 7 sisters are the highest in the sky... it ends on may 5th, 2004. or was it march 15, 2004? anyway, that's when 6 planets and the moon all line up and surely that's bad :)

So I got yelled at by the professor I'm teaching for... that was fun. the short of it is that two students were cheating and copying, and I called them on it, but I did not follow the official policy, and even though there were extenuating circumstances, it doesn't matter... I had to formally appologize to the students, and then get away with cheating scott free.... only in america... only in colorado?

so my role playing group is starting to come together... I am so very excited about that :) I have 5 players, including 4 freshman, and also one girl... this is good... I feel my group is complete :) I have nailed down 2 character ideas and I've started on 2 more. I have no idea about the 5th one. this is what I've got so far, and I find it quite an interesting mix... I feel this group will be quite capable of doing what it wants... here's the breakdown:
ranger/rogue, rogue/cleric, cleric/fighter, fighter/rogue, and ??... the races, respectively are human, human, dwarf, elf and ??...
This is exceptionally interesting as there are NO DWARFS in my world. (yes, tolkien specifically stated in his first edition trilogy that the plural of dwarf was dwarfs... I'm not sure if this convention has changed, but hey, can't go wrong with tolkien.)

ok... I'm gone for now... I take that back... I first want to leave a warning for a certain little shrimp that keeps insulting my girlfriend... if you keep it up.. well... I leave you with the words of Melissa... I know where you live, I have seen where you sleep, and your women will WEEP when they see what I've done to you...
